Who we are

Surface first, then form.

Most factories buy their glazes. We spent fifteen years mixing them for other factories before we cast our own vases, candle holders and figurines. It is still how we work: the finish is decided before the shape is drawn.

Choose by finish, not only by shape.

Six surface families run across the whole range. Open one to see every piece made in it.

How a piece is made

From slip to shelf.

Every piece is slip-cast in plaster, finished by hand, glazed by dipping or pouring and fired in one of three shuttle kilns. Six stations, one building.

Opening a plaster mould
01

Mould

Plaster moulds, made and stored in-house, give each design its exact wall and weight.

Pouring slip into a plaster mould
02

Cast

Liquid slip is poured into the mould. The plaster draws the water out and a wall forms from the outside in.

Sponging a leather-hard piece
03

Finish

Seams are trimmed and every surface is sponged by hand while the clay is still leather-hard.

Pouring glaze out of a piece
04

Glaze

Pieces are dipped or poured with glazes mixed on site. This is the part of the work we have done the longest.

05

Fire

Three shuttle kilns run the bisque and glaze firings. Cars are loaded by design so a run stays consistent.

Packing finished pieces into cartons
06

Pack

Every piece is checked, wrapped and boxed in the same building it was cast in.

From the range

392 designs, ready from 12 pieces.
